The second exhibition done through Chillustrate. Understanding what was needed and how the design objects would be read and engaged with was easier this time around but I wanted to challenge myself to move away from an illustrative and type-based approach and to play with images a bit more. A fair amount of the images, I found online (I, of course, cited all of the images used in the References section of the brief) but I also took some photos - only three. Having the freedom to create the photos that I wanted to use was what really drove the design in the direction that it went in. The photographs that I can take credit for are the plate on the board, the curry plate and the peppers.

'Here, Look Yuh Food' surrounds the idea that food is a Caribbean love language. For me, personally, my mother shows a lot of her love and affection for us through food. She shows her passion and love for self through food. Showing food, I think, the use of images would've resonnated deeper, created a more visceral response. When approaching the design I also wanted to show the idea of abundance like a big Sunday lunch spread.
